Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
Please keep your child at home with a fever, vomiting or diarrhea, and until they have been well for a full day. Call us before 8:30 am if your child will be out, and we will call you if your child becomes unwell at the center.
Drop-off and pickup
A teacher hands each child to you at the room door. We release a child only to the people you list in writing, and we ask for photo ID until we know a person well.
Late pickup
Please call us if you are running late. How late pickup is handled is in the enrollment forms, and Yusra goes through it with you before the first day.
Meals, snacks and allergies
We serve breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. The chicken, beef and lamb are halal, and nothing we cook has pork, lard or alcohol in it. Tell us about allergies at the tour; we ask privately once you enroll.
Naps and safe sleep
Infants sleep on their backs, in their own cots, with nothing else in the cot. Older children rest on cots in their room at midday, and a teacher stays in the room.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for Thanksgiving, the week between the holidays and the two Eid days. When snow closes the center, we text every family by 6 am.
Leaving the program
We ask for two weeks' notice, in writing or in person, so we can offer your child's place to the next family on the waitlist.
